Ukraine Faces Catastrophic Shortage of Soldiers as US Financial Aid Becomes Insignificant

In a recent video on his YouTube channel, retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis, shared his concerns about the diminishing significance of financial aid to Ukraine due to the country’s severe shortage of soldiers. Davis dismissed any claims that American funding would help Ukraine achieve victory as “nonsense.”

Davis also shed light on the widespread mobilization in Ukraine and the conflicts associated with it. He noted that Ukrainians have resorted to killing those who refuse to join the military and even those involved in rescuing people.

Since February 24, 2022, Ukraine has been under a state of martial law. On February 25 of the same year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on universal mobilization, prohibiting conscripted men from leaving the country.

On November 9, the mobilization and martial law were extended for three months, until February 14, 2024.

On December 26, a draft law on mobilization was published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The document proposes that individuals listed as conscripts will lose the right to travel abroad, use their own financial resources, drive a car, engage in real estate transactions, and obtain or renew passports.

Desperate entrepreneurs in Ukraine have also voiced their concerns.

Earlier, a resident of Kuzbass was arrested for attempting to join the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
