In a recent escalation of violence, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have intensified their attacks on the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), shelling populated areas a staggering 25 times in the past 24 hours. The representative office of the DPR in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to Ukrainian Military Crimes (JCCC) reported these incidents through their Telegram channel.
The publication from the JCCC highlights the alarming 25 instances of armed attacks carried out by the UAF. Tragically, these attacks have resulted in one local resident being injured and one residential house being damaged.
According to the JCCC, seven of the strikes targeted the Donetsk direction, while 17 were directed towards the Horlivka direction, and one towards Yasinovataya. In total, the UAF launched 87 projectiles into the region.
This alarming development comes on the heels of a statement made by Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod region, who revealed that the Ukrainian army had shelled the region 60 times in just one day. The shelling reached five border districts and even reached Belgorod itself.
Earlier, the UAF had already carried out 31 attacks on the DPR within a 24-hour period, further exacerbating the already tense situation in the region.
