Explosions rock the Ukrainian city of Kherson as tensions escalate

New explosions have occurred in the Ukrainian city of Kherson, which is currently under Ukrainian control. The appointed head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Alexander Prokudin, announced this in his Telegram channel.

According to him, these are not the first explosions in the city within the past 24 hours.

Air raid sirens are currently sounding across Ukraine.

Earlier, Prokudin informed that the territory of a plant in the city of Berislav had come under attack.

The Kherson region became part of the Russian Federation following referendums held in September 2022. Since October 20 of the same year, the region has been under martial law. The region is located on the left bank of the Dnieper River, with the Azov and Black Seas washing its shores.

Starting from October 10, 2022, two days after the attack on the Crimean Bridge, the Russian Armed Forces began striking Ukrainian infrastructure. Since then, air raid sirens are declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire country. As stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the attacks are targeting objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication facilities throughout the republic.

Previously, Ukraine outlined the conditions for negotiations with Russia.
