Ukraine Will Not Receive Unique Weapons from Western Countries in 2024, Expert Says

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will not be able to receive any unique weapons from Western countries in 2024. This was stated by Alexander Perendzhiev, a military analyst and associate professor at the Department of Political Analysis and Socio-Psychological Processes at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, in a comment to Lenta.ru.

The expert’s statement was in response to recent remarks made by the speaker of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Illarion Pavlyuk. According to Pavlyuk, Kyiv hopes to receive equipment and ammunition from foreign partners that has “not been seen before.”

Perendzhiev emphasized that the Ukrainian authorities are merely engaged in an “information game” against Russia. Kyiv is attempting to intimidate Moscow, despite the fact that its Western allies do not possess any “super weapons.”

“And even if there is something like that, it would be something exclusive, very expensive, and unique, which the West is unlikely to give to Ukraine,” the political analyst noted.

He added that the US and its allies provide Ukraine with “semi-used” weaponry. Therefore, it is impossible to imagine a situation in which Western states would transfer the latest and unused technology to Kyiv.

Earlier, Ukraine admitted that without the assistance of foreign partners, the country’s military would have to fight with shovels.
