Trump had previously won the primaries in this state twice – in 2016 when he was first running for president, and in 2020 as part of his re-election campaign. The former president called this victory the most important and expressed confidence in his election as president in November.
Primary elections for the presidential candidates in the United States in 2024 took place in the state of New Hampshire on Tuesday. The voting occurred amidst intense competition between the main Republican rivals, former President Donald Trump, and former UN ambassador Nikki Haley. According to the Associated Press forecast, Trump is gaining 53.8% of the voters’ support, while Haley is trailing by 10%. Haley has already conceded defeat and congratulated her opponent on his victory but stated her intention to continue participating in the pre-election race.

The next US presidential elections will take place in November 2024. Donald Trump and Nikki Haley are competing to be the Republican Party’s candidate. Former Vice President Mike Pence, Governor of North Dakota Doug Burgum, Senator from South Carolina Tim Scott, former Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie, as well as Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswami have already dropped out of the pre-election race.
