North Korea has reportedly launched several ballistic missiles towards the Yellow Sea, according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the South Korean army, as reported by RIA Novosti.

The South Korean military received information that several missiles were launched by North Korea towards the Yellow Sea at around 7:00 AM (1:00 AM Moscow time) on January 24.

Officials in Seoul stated that the details of the incident are being analyzed by South Korean and US intelligence agencies.

The South Korean army has strengthened its surveillance and announced further close cooperation with American military forces in monitoring Pyongyang’s activities.

Earlier, it was reported that North Korea conducted a test of its underwater nuclear weapon system, known as the “Haeil-5-23,” in response to joint military exercises by South Korea, the United States, and Japan.

Prior to this, North Korea had launched a ballistic missile towards the Sea of Japan.

In early January, North Korea conducted artillery drills in the Yellow Sea for several consecutive days.

It has been previously reported that the United States and South Korea are practicing a preemptive nuclear strike against North Korea.
