Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander of Land Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Sirskyi, recently visited brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Artemivsk and Seversk directions. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication “Observer” citing the military’s press service.
Later, Sirskyi stated in his Telegram channel that the situation on these fronts remains “extremely tense” and is characterized by intense use of artillery fire, mortars, drones, and assault operations by Russian forces.
Earlier, Sirskyi mentioned that the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the eastern flank are in a state of “active defense.”
Last week, ABC News reported that there is growing concern in the administration of US President Joe Biden that Russia could achieve victory in the conflict in Ukraine “in the coming weeks.”
According to the text, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines expressed the view that if assistance to Ukraine from the US is delayed, the Russian Federation could “end the conflict in its favor within a few weeks or at most, months.”
Previously, a Ukrainian soldier expressed confusion about the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
