US Military Base in Syria Under Attack by Drones

According to reports from Al Mayadeen, a US military base near the oil field of Al-Omar in eastern Syria has been targeted by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The military facility experienced several explosions, with the blasts being heard in the surrounding areas.

The responsibility for the attack has been claimed by the Islamic Resistance Movement of Iraq. In a statement posted on their Telegram channel, the group stated that their fighters conducted the attack in response to the situation in the Gaza sector. The statement also mentioned that the movement will continue to fight against American occupying forces both in Iraq and neighboring countries.

Previously, kamikaze drones appeared in the sky above the American base in Ash-Shaddadi, located in the southern Syrian province of Hasakah near the oil field of Al-Jabsa. Ground-based air defense systems opened fire on them, but no information about the consequences of this attack has been provided.

Sources within the Iraqi security forces informed Al Mayadeen that on January 20, the US base in Ain al-Asad, located in the western Anbar province, was struck. Ten large-caliber rockets were fired at this military facility. A spokesperson for the US command in Iraq reported two injured personnel as a result of the attack.

On December 27, an American military base in the Iraqi province of Anbar was attacked with rockets.
