In April 2023, Wade and Willis also purchased a round-trip ticket to San Francisco. Joycelyn Wade’s attorneys argue that there is no reasonable explanation for these travels apart from a romantic relationship.
Fani Willis, who gained attention for bringing charges against Trump for election interference, is now caught in a political firestorm due to these allegations. She has been subpoenaed to give a pretrial deposition in her divorce case, but her attorney argues that the subpoena should be quashed, claiming that Joycelyn Wade is using the civil discovery process to harass and interfere with the ongoing criminal case against Trump.
While the bank records do not provide direct evidence of an affair between Wade and Willis, allegations of a romantic relationship have surfaced in a separate court filing. Trump codefendant Michael Roman’s lawyer accused Willis and Wade of mishandling public money and engaging in an improper relationship.
