In a surprising turn of events, an alternate juror was dismissed from the trial of Michelle Troconis, who is accused of conspiring to murder Jennifer Dulos, a Connecticut mother of five. The dismissal came after the juror expressed support for the prosecution during a lunch break. The incident occurred when the juror, identified as Juror No. 420, told an assistant state’s attorney, “We love you,” upon seeing them in an elevator. This prompted the court to conduct an inquiry, which ultimately led to the juror’s dismissal.
The court deemed the juror’s comment as potentially biased in favor of the state’s case, casting doubt on their impartiality and fairness.
