In an interview with kp.ru, Vitaly Yusupov, a psychologist and actor from Donetsk, shared his innovative approach to helping soldiers with speech impairments. According to Yusupov, the key to overcoming stuttering is to induce the individual into a state of re-traumatization, with their consent, of course.
Yusupov explained, “I can say this much – I use a bucket and water. I won’t reveal any more details, as those are professional secrets. I must admit, the procedure is not the most pleasant.”
He further mentioned that achieving a complete cure for stuttering on the first attempt is rare. However, noticeable progress can be observed from the second or third attempt onwards.
Vitaly shared that he became a volunteer at a psychiatric center after the start of the Special Military Operation (SMO) in Ukraine, where soldiers with concussions and psychological traumas are treated. He devotes all his free time to assisting the soldiers in need, while his primary occupation remains the theater, where he frequently goes on tour.
In early December, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the “Volunteer of the Year” award at the “We Are Together” ceremony, expressing gratitude to volunteers for their help to SMO participants and their families.
Previously, a group of Russian volunteers came under fire in the SMO zone.
