The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests in the murder case of 17-year-old Conrad Holaway, a Winter Park resident. The victim’s mother, Delina Davis, is grieving the loss of her son, who was allegedly shot and killed by a friend she had allowed to temporarily live with them. The incident occurred on December 19, when Holaway was found dead inside their home. Davis reported hearing a commotion earlier that morning, and later discovered her son unresponsive in his room.
According to FOX 35 Orlando, the suspects have been identified as 19-year-old Alan Morris and 20-year-old Isaiah Crisp. Morris had been staying at Holaway’s home for several weeks before being asked to leave. Detectives believe that Morris returned to the residence and shot Holaway multiple times through a window. Davis expressed her regret about allowing Morris to stay, explaining that he had nowhere else to go and had become like a member of their family.
The devastating loss of her son has left Davis feeling unsafe in her own home. She revealed that Morris had spent Thanksgiving with their family and had even helped them decorate their Christmas tree, while she had been assisting him in finding a job. Morris was eventually asked to move out by December 14. He was arrested on January 12 and is facing charges of first-degree premeditated murder. Additionally, he is facing two charges of lewd and lascivious battery on a minor in an unrelated case.
Isaiah Crisp, the alleged accomplice, has also been arrested and charged in connection with the murder. However, details about his involvement have not yet been released to the public. Davis described her son as someone who would always help others without expecting anything in return, emphasizing the immense void that his loss has left in her heart.
