Belarus Conducts Military Readiness Check Amidst Increase in Air Threats

The Belarusian military has begun conducting a check on the tank battalion of one of the mechanized brigades in the Western Operational Command. The Ministry of Defense announced this development through its Telegram channel.

According to the ministry, experts will assess the readiness of the personnel in the military unit to carry out their tasks, as well as evaluate the condition of the weapons and military equipment.

In December, Belarusian Colonel Vorobiev reported that foreign reconnaissance aviation records three to four flights daily along the country’s western borders.

He noted that the level of air threat from NATO countries is constantly increasing. The radar systems of the Belarusian army regularly detect reconnaissance flights in the neighboring territory.

Vorobiev emphasized that reconnaissance is conducted using all possible means, including unmanned aerial vehicles of strategic importance and reconnaissance aircraft. Each day, three to four flights are recorded for the purpose of monitoring Belarusian territory.

Earlier, Ukraine announced the deployment of servicemen with combat experience on the border with Belarus.
