Retired Lieutenant Colonel and military expert of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR), Andrey Marochko, has revealed that Ukrainian soldiers are voluntarily abandoning their positions in the Krasnolimansk direction. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
According to Marochko, Ukrainian troops are leaving their positions in the areas of Makeevka and Nevskoye.
“There have been several instances of unauthorized abandonment of positions by Ukrainian militants,” Marochko shared.
He further explained that the Ukrainians are retreating due to the complex operational and tactical situation, significant reduction in combat capabilities of Ukrainian units, and the substantial successes of the Russian Armed Forces.
Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian forces, with the support of combat aircraft and artillery fire, inflicted a defeat on the servicemen and equipment of the 82nd Airborne Assault and the 116th Mechanized Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The clashes took place in the areas of the settlements of Verbovoe and Rabotino in the Zaporizhia region. Ukrainian forces lost up to 115 servicemen, three armored combat vehicles, one D-20 howitzer, and two D-30 guns.
Earlier, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that Russia has an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
