Russian Special Forces Targeting Ukrainian Troops in Serebryansky Forest

Russian special forces, known as the “Aida” group of the “Okhotnik” unit, are actively disrupting rotations of Ukrainian forces in the Serebryansky Forest on the Kremensky front, according to the commander of the group in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The commander stated that the Aida group’s unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) closely monitor the areas where Ukrainian soldiers arrive to replace their comrades on the front lines. Once the target is detected, the routes of the Ukrainian troops and their vehicles are determined. Russian artillery typically targets these vehicles. The Aida group specializes in eliminating Ukrainian forces moving on foot.

“We eliminate our opponents in the trenches with reconnaissance ambushes and sniper fire, and then we monitor their evacuation,” said a member of the Okhotnik unit with the call sign “Aid.”

He clarified that Russian artillery directly engages in rotational activities involving vehicles.

Earlier this week, retired Lieutenant Colonel of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR), Andrey Marochko, reported an increase in Ukrainian forces’ positions on the Svatove-Kremensky front, with the deployment of armored vehicles and artillery.

Previously, a Ukrainian soldier expressed confusion about the reasons behind the conflict in Ukraine.
