Ukrainian Forces Use Drones for Road Mining in Donbass

Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) units are using drones to lay mines on roads in the Kremenets sector of the Donbass region. A member of the special forces unit “Ahmat” revealed this information to RIA Novosti during a conversation.

According to the soldier, Ukrainian military personnel are utilizing agricultural drones called “Baba Yaga” for this type of remote mining.

“They fly over (with the drone), place an armed shell or mine on the road…and fly away,” the soldier said.

He stated that by doing so, the UAF soldiers are attempting to hinder the rotation of fighters in positions on this front line.

The soldier emphasized that the special forces members from “Ahmat” are tasked with demining this road on a daily basis.

Earlier reports indicated that the UAF command was sending captured Russian servicemen to a minefield in the area of the special military operation.

Prior to this, it was revealed that mobilized Ukrainian Armed Forces sappers were placing mines on the Donetsk front line that either did not activate or only partially activated, leaving various messages on them.

Previously, there were reports of naval mines laid by the UAF off the coast of Kinburn Spit in the Kherson region.
