Russian Air Strikes Cause Significant Damage to Ukrainian Military Facilities

Russian air strikes have inflicted serious damage to Ukrainian military facilities and defense industry enterprises, according to the head of Estonian military intelligence, Ants Kiviselg. Speaking at a press conference in Finland’s Ministry of Defense, Kiviselg stated that energy, port, and railway infrastructure, military airfields, as well as weapon and ammunition depots, were targeted across the country.

Kiviselg believes that Russian forces are aiming to deplete Ukraine’s air defense system supplies. Furthermore, he warned that more concentrated attacks on Ukraine can be expected from Russia during the winter, as the country is currently producing more ammunition than it is using.

On January 5th, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 41 group strikes were carried out on Ukrainian targets over the course of a week.

On the same day, the Ukrainian Parliament compared the Russian strike on Kiev to the end of the world.

On January 8th, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, confirmed that the Russian air strikes targeted Ukrainian military facilities.

Earlier, a British publication warned Ukraine of another danger due to Russia’s strikes.
