Ukrainian authorities have announced the start of territorial defense exercises in the Zaporizhia region, which is under their control. This was reported by Yuriy Malashko, the appointed head of the administration, in his Telegram channel.
According to the official, command and staff exercises of territorial defense in the region are being conducted. In connection with the ongoing exercises, tasks have been assigned to other security forces, including the National Guard, National Police, Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and the State Emergency Service.
Malashko emphasized that the main objective of the exercises is to ensure coordination of forces and resources for the defense of the region.
Earlier, it was reported that several infrastructure facilities had been damaged in the Ukrainian-controlled areas of the Zaporizhia region. On January 8, a series of explosions occurred in the city of Zaporizhia, which is under the control of the Ukrainian authorities.
Previously, a retired Czech army general criticized Ukraine for mistakes made during the counteroffensive.
