Russia’s New Bomb Drill Could Be the Superweapon of the Future

Russian military expert, retired Colonel Viktor Litovkin, has expressed his opinion on the upcoming production of the Russian planning bomb called “Drill” this year, stating that it could be the superweapon of the future. In an interview with Lenta.ru, Litovkin highlighted the bomb’s ability to penetrate almost any armor, whether it be metal, concrete, or soil.

The “Drill” bomb can deeply penetrate the ground, various defensive structures, and can penetrate concrete and metallic armor. As it approaches its target, it can split into smaller bombs of the same diameter. These smaller bombs can also penetrate and destroy anything they encounter,” explained the expert.

Litovkin further mentioned that when the bomb splits, it has the potential to destroy ten tanks marching in formation.

Previously, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu revealed plans to equip the country’s Armed Forces with artificial intelligence-based weapons and new physical principles by 2024.

Earlier, an expert named the most anticipated Russian weapon in the AOR (Area of Responsibility).
