In a recent development, Governor Andrei Bocharov of the Volgograd region has announced that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was shot down over the territory. This information was conveyed through the administration’s official Telegram channel.
According to Governor Bocharov, the UAV was downed by the Russian Ministry of Defense over the Volgograd region on January 10. Fortunately, no casualties or damages to infrastructure were reported.
This incident follows a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, claiming that Russian air defense systems successfully eliminated a lethal UAV belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the airspace above the Saratov region.
In a separate incident, Russian air defense systems also brought down a Ukrainian drone in the airspace of the Belgorod region the previous evening. Additionally, the Ministry of Defense reported the successful neutralization of a projectile for the multiple rocket launcher system “Uragan” over the region. The attack was reportedly thwarted at around 19:30 Moscow time.
