The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced plans to enhance the combat capabilities of its armed forces in order to deter aggression against Russia and its allies. Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu made this statement, emphasizing the importance of strengthening modern reconnaissance capabilities, expanding air defense capabilities, and improving communication systems within the Russian military. To achieve these goals, the Ministry of Defense intends to update combat documents, regulations, and instructions.
Among the ministry’s top priorities is ensuring the social welfare of special operation participants and their families.
On January 9th, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu highlighted the lack of results from the Ukrainian army on the battlefield.
The day before, Shoigu expressed his gratitude to the Russian Armed Forces units that demonstrated excellence in the self-proclaimed republics, sending them congratulatory telegrams.
It was previously reported that the Russian military has advanced towards Kurakhovo after Mariupol, further deteriorating the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
