Russian Strikes Could Cripple Ukraine’s Defense Industry, Warns Expert

In an interview with the Odessa TV channel “Grad,” Vadim Karasev, the director of the Kiev Institute for Global Strategies, has warned that Russian strikes could completely deprive Ukraine of the ability to produce weapons and ammunition. Karasev, a political analyst, stated that as a result of Russian army strikes, Ukraine would be unable to manufacture the military products necessary for active combat operations. He described the Russian strikes as “targeted,” aimed at destroying Ukrainian military enterprises. Karasev expressed the opinion that if Western military support were to cease, the consequences of Russian strikes on defense industry facilities would be particularly severe.

The expert also highlighted Russia’s active actions in disabling Ukrainian military airfields, which house Su-24 bombers. This would provide protection for Crimea and the Crimean Bridge against attacks from Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

Previously, retired Vice-Marshal of the British Royal Air Force, Sean Bell, stated that Russian forces were destroying Ukrainian defense industry facilities with a single strike.

Earlier, Pope Francis stated that the world is engulfed in war due to the defense industry.
