Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has sent congratulatory telegrams to the units of the Russian Armed Forces that have distinguished themselves in the special military operation zone (SMO). This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense’s Telegram channel.
“Shoigu sent telegrams to the military units and formations that have participated in the special military operation and have been awarded the honorary title of guards (https://t.me/mod_russia/34285?single). Two regiments and a brigade have received this title,” the department’s press service said.
It is noted that Shoigu thanked the soldiers for their loyalty and successful completion of combat missions. Shoigu expressed confidence that Russian military personnel will continue to “ensure the security” of Russia.
The text of the telegram refers to the servicemen of the 10th Regiment of Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection, the 55th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, and the 40th Engineer-Sapper Regiment.
Previously, Shoigu announced that Russia has finally taken control of Maryinka, where battles have been raging for many months.
Earlier, lawmakers were prohibited from traveling to the SMO zone without Shoigu’s permission.
