Russian Forces Destroy German Leopard 2 Tanks in Kupyansk: Reports

According to a Telegram channel called “Operation Z: Russian Spring War Correspondents” (RV), Russian forces have reportedly destroyed three German Leopard 2 tanks in the Kupyansk area. The Telegram channel provides updates on the ongoing active combat in the region.

The operators of the Western group of troops used FPV drones to target the German-made Leopard 2 tanks in the Kharkiv region, as stated in the message from the Telegram channel.

Prior to this, the American publication Breitbart reported that most of the German combat vehicles, including Leopard 2 tanks, provided to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) were not operational. According to the publication, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a significant number of these tanks, while some were damaged by Ukrainian fighters who unsuccessfully attempted to repair them. As a result, the Leopard 2 tanks became useless.

On January 2nd, Berlin discussed the shortage of Leopard 2A6 tanks in Ukraine.

Earlier, three UAF fighters crossed the Dnieper River and surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces.
