Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin to Remain in Position Despite Hospitalization Scandal

In a recent statement, Pentagon Press Secretary Patrick Ryder has confirmed that the head of the American defense agency, Lloyd Austin, has no intentions of stepping down from his position following the scandal surrounding the late notification of his hospitalization. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.

“Minister Austin does not plan to leave his post. He is focused on continuing his work as the Secretary of Defense and serving the best interests of our country’s defense,” said Ryder.

Previously, it was reported that US President Joe Biden maintains his trust in Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin, even after the failure of the defense agency to inform the White House about Austin’s hospitalization.

Prior to this, the inability of Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin to inform President Joe Biden, other White House officials, and members of the US Congress about his hospitalization has enraged certain officials in the White House.

Earlier, an American congressman referred to the concealment of information regarding the Pentagon Chief’s illness as a failure.
