Mark Wahlberg moved to Las Vegas in 2022. A Las Vegas couple was arrested more than a month after allegedly opening fire on a homeless encampment and killing two people, while injuring three others. The suspects, identified as 31-year-old Cristobal Omar Perez and his girlfriend, 21-year-old Kylee Au Yong, have been charged with murder and battery with a deadly weapon.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred on December 1, 2022, at around 5:30 p.m. A gunman was dropped off by a black SUV near a highway overpass in the northeastern part of the city. The gunman then proceeded to the homeless encampment and opened fire before fleeing in a getaway car.

While investigators believe the shooting was planned in advance, a motive has not yet been identified. Although the attack appears to be targeted, the specific reasons behind it remain unknown.

On Thursday, both Perez and Au Yong were arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. During a court hearing, Au Yong was ordered to be held without bail, while Perez did not appear in court for unknown reasons and was also ordered to be held without bail.

The police are also searching for a third suspect involved in the shooting. The investigation is ongoing to gather more evidence and identify any other individuals connected to the crime.

The Las Vegas community has been shocked and saddened by this violent incident. The authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety of the residents and to bring justice to the victims and their families.
