Russian Defense Forces Shoot Down Ukrainian Drone near Bryansk Region

Governor Alexander Bogomaz of the Bryansk region announced that the Russian Ministry of Defense’s air defense forces have successfully shot down a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the Sevsky district in the Bryansk region. He shared this information on his Telegram channel.

Bogomaz emphasized that the Russian air defense forces destroyed a plane-like UAV, resulting in no casualties or damages.

The governor added that emergency services are currently working at the scene.

Earlier, Bogomaz had reported on his Telegram channel that an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) to attack the region using a UAV was thwarted over the Pogar district.

Prior to this, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that their air defense systems in the Bryansk region successfully repelled an attack by the UAF on Russian territory.

On January 7th, the Kursk region was subjected to shelling from Ukraine, leading to a partial power outage in the village of Kozino in the Rylsky district. Emergency brigades will begin restoring the power supply once it is safe to do so.

Previously, President Zelensky stated the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting the conflict to Russian territory.
