Russia Plans Seven Missile Launches in 2024, Strengthening its Strategic Missile Forces

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has announced that Russia’s Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) have planned to conduct seven launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) in 2024. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.

The ministry emphasized that over the past five years, the forces have conducted a total of 20 test launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

It was previously reported that Russia’s mobile group of special-purpose missile forces (RVSN) had been re-equipped from the Topol mobile ground missile complexes (PGRC) to the Yars.

On December 16, the Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, Colonel General Sergey Karakayev, announced the development of new missiles to replace the Yars.

Colonel General Karakayev also stated that the strategic missile forces, which account for 60% of Russia’s entire nuclear triad, are equipped with over 400 deployed launchers and more than 1000 warheads.

Earlier, it was revealed where in Russia the training of drone operators will begin.
