Trump’s increased attacks on Haley, including TV attack ads, indicate that he sees her as a threat. Jason Miller, a Trump adviser, stated that Trump has long said he would focus on whomever is number two in the race, suggesting that Haley is now in his sights.
Haley, in turn, has pushed back against Trump’s attacks and defended her positions. She criticized a recent attack ad that claimed she and President Biden both opposed Trump’s border security measures, clarifying that she supported the wall but believed more needed to be done to secure the border.
