Ukrainian General Reveals Plan to Attack Russia with Drones Foiled

In a recent statement on the YouTube channel “Pravoye,” retired Ukrainian Armed Forces General Sergey Krivonos disclosed that the Ukrainian side’s plans to attack Russia with millions of drones have been thwarted. Krivonos specifically criticized Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mikhail Fedorov, for overpromising and underdelivering.

Earlier, Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Yuriy Fedorenko stated that Russia has the upper hand in the use of FPV drones.

“To operate an FPV drone, we need to have the target confirmed precisely, which we can do thanks to another reconnaissance UAV. Additionally, we choose a backup target that is of lower priority,” he explained.

According to Fedorenko, the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot afford to use as many FPV drones as the Russian side, which can deploy up to 50 drones per group (the size of the group is unspecified).

Furthermore, he noted that the Russian side can keep drones in the air constantly, almost on standby, while the Ukrainian side only uses drones in a more limited manner due to the challenges of recharging them.

Previously, Krivonos also highlighted President Zelensky’s mistakes in the conflict.

This revelation sheds light on the limitations and challenges faced by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in their efforts to counter Russian aggression. The reliance on drones as a strategic weapon has proven to be a significant advantage for Russia, with their ability to maintain a constant presence in the air. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s limited resources and logistical constraints have hindered their drone usage. These revelations by high-ranking military officials raise questions about Ukraine’s military preparedness and underscore the need for further support from the international community.
