Russian Air Defense Shoots Down Ukrainian Missiles Over Crimea

In a recent incident, Russian air defense forces successfully intercepted and shot down 10 Ukrainian missiles over the Crimean Peninsula. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation confirmed this development.

According to the Ministry of Defense, on January 4th, at approximately 17:20 Moscow time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) attempted a terrorist attack by launching guided missiles towards targets on Russian territory.

Earlier, the Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, had reported that the UAF had attacked the city. However, local emergency services did not detect any damage to infrastructure at that time.

Later, Razvozhaev disclosed that missile fragments had fallen on a residential building on Glukhov Street. The governor stated that a resident of the building was injured. Fragments also landed in the vicinity of Mostovaya Street, the northern side, Monastyrskoye Highway, and Fedyukhiny Heights.

An air alarm has been declared in Sevastopol. Razvozhaev mentioned that the military had employed smoke screens in the city.

Previously, in President Zelensky’s office, a threat was issued to Russia, promising retaliation for the explosions that have occurred in Ukraine.
