The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported a significant development in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. According to the ministry’s Telegram channel, Russian forces have successfully intercepted and destroyed eight missiles belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) over the Belgorod region.
The interception took place at approximately 14:30 Moscow time and prevented another terrorist attack attempt by the Ukrainian army on Russian territory. The UAF had deployed the “Olha” multiple launch rocket system for this purpose.
The Russian Ministry of Defense highlighted the effectiveness of their air defense systems, which managed to neutralize all eight missiles over the Belgorod region. This marks a significant success for Russian forces in their efforts to defend their borders.
This interception follows previous instances of Russian forces successfully shooting down UAF drones. In a single day, Russian forces managed to take down 46 UAF drones, further showcasing their capabilities in countering the Ukrainian threat.
