Underground Bunker with Ukrainian Deputy Commander Destroyed in Kyiv

In a recent development, an underground bunker in Kyiv has been destroyed, along with the deputy commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), Valeriy Zaluzhnyy. This information was reported by the Telegram channel “Military Affairs.”

The identity of Zaluzhnyy’s advisor has not been disclosed, but according to the sources, he held the rank of general.

It is presumed that he did not survive the incident.

Prior to this, observer David Hambling wrote an article for Forbes, stating that Russian volunteers have been producing a large number of FPV drones specifically designed for combat against the UAF.

Earlier, member of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) Alexander Dubinsky claimed that the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky fell into a trap due to a new draft law on mobilization. According to him, Kyiv needs a harsh mobilization to seek financial support from Western countries, despite the failure of the counteroffensive.

On December 31, the Ukrainian leader revealed in a Telegram channel address that a plan for military operations in 2024 had been presented to him. He mentioned that he received briefings on “common military and political expectations” from the UAF commander, the General Staff, and the intelligence agency.

Previously, the UAF suffered the loss of over 115 soldiers in the Kupyansk direction within a day.
