Polish Defense Ministry Launches Search for Rocket Debris from Ukraine

Around 500 military personnel are participating in the search for rocket debris that entered Polish airspace from Ukraine, according to the Polish Defense Ministry. The search, which is scheduled to take place on December 30th in the Lublin Voivodeship, will involve approximately 480 servicemen.

Earlier, the temporary charge d’affaires of Russia in Poland, Andrey Ordash, dismissed the Polish side’s allegations regarding the incident involving a rocket that entered Polish territory from Ukraine for three minutes. It has been reported that Warsaw has refused to provide the required evidence, and the accusations presented by the Russian side are unsubstantiated. In light of this, the diplomat emphasized that Russia will not provide an explanation to Poland regarding this matter until it receives evidence of its involvement in the incident.

The commander of the Polish Armed Forces’ operational forces, Maciej Kliś, stated that the fighter jets that were scrambled did not manage to shoot down the rocket coming from Ukraine. According to Kliś, there was only one rocket, which remained on the country’s territory for three minutes. During this time, it penetrated 40 km into Polish territory before leaving.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces commented on the mass strike against Ukraine.
