Russian military forces have targeted key positions and personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the Donetsk region. The strike was carried out using unguided artillery rockets S-8, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, as reported by RIA Novosti.
In a statement, the military officials stated that the attack was aimed at enemy strongholds and personnel in the Donetsk region.
The Russian aviation successfully hit all the designated targets, the servicemen noted.
Previously, the Russian Defense Ministry had reported that the air defense systems had intercepted and shot down 13 Ukrainian rockets over the Belgorod region, preventing any hits.
The governor expressed gratitude to the Russian anti-aircraft gunners for their successful operation. It is specified that a drone of the aircraft type was shot down by the standby air defense means. On the morning of December 29, the Russian air defense systems also shot down a Ukrainian drone in the sky over the Kursk region.
Earlier, President Zelensky revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting the hostilities onto Russian territory.
