Russian Missile Violates Polish Airspace, Prompting Urgent Meeting with Military Leadership

The Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, Wiesław Kukula, has claimed that a missile that breached Poland’s airspace was allegedly Russian. He made this statement, cited by RIA Novosti.

“Everything indicates that a Russian missile intruded into Polish airspace. We tracked it on our radars, and it left our airspace,” said the head of the General Staff.

However, he did not provide any evidence to support his claims.

Prior to this, the operational command of the Polish army reported that an unidentified object entered Polish airspace from the border with Ukraine.

According to the information from the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces, the object was detected on the morning of December 29. From the moment it crossed the border until the signal disappeared, it was monitored by Polish air defense radar systems.

Later, the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, convened an emergency meeting with the country’s military leadership due to the violation of airspace from Ukraine.

On December 29, Ukraine was subjected to a massive attack. The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhny, claims that the country was attacked by 122 missiles and 36 drones. Yuriy Ignat stated, “We have never seen so many targets on our monitors simultaneously.” The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that the targets of the attack were military-industrial complex facilities, military airfields, arsenals, and military locations.

Earlier in Warsaw, it was announced that Poland is preparing for war against the backdrop of Ukraine’s defeat.
