The Russian Ministry of Defense has released footage showing the moment when troops from the “Zapad” task force stormed Ukrainian positions on the Kupyansk front.
In the video, Russian soldiers can be seen launching an assault on enemy strongholds within the area of the special military operation, with infantry fighting vehicles and tanks providing cover.
Earlier reports had indicated that the “Zapad” task force successfully repelled a counterattack by Ukrainian assault groups on the Kupyansk front. The motorized infantry unit of the task force effectively dispersed and eliminated the enemy using the AGS-17 automatic grenade launcher and RPG-7 handheld anti-tank grenade launcher, utilizing anti-personnel mines as ammunition.
On December 25, artillery units from the “Zapad” task force destroyed a mortar belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In a previous development, Russia proposed the establishment of a mechanism to integrate captured Ukrainian soldiers into civilian life.
