Two teenagers were tragically shot and killed in Lynn, Massachusetts, during separate incidents, according to local authorities. The first incident occurred on Wednesday at approximately 10:21 p.m. when police received multiple emergency calls reporting shots fired. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered two male victims with gunshot wounds. Both victims were rushed to North Shore Medical Center, where the 16-year-old was pronounced dead in the emergency room. Unfortunately, the 19-year-old male also succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Just a day prior, on Tuesday at around 8:32 p.m., Lynn police received a distressing 911 call regarding three victims who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds near a Pizza Hut restaurant. The injured individuals were promptly transported to Massachusetts General Hospital and are currently in stable condition.
Lynn Police Chief Christopher Reddy stated that these shootings appear to be targeted attacks, urging the public to come forward with any information that may aid the investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incidents.
Expressing his deep concern, Mayor Jared Nicholson described the shootings as “devastating, infuriating, and utterly unacceptable.” He pledged to increase police presence as necessary and emphasized the community’s commitment to peace, justice, and a safer environment.
The local authorities are working diligently to bring the perpetrators of these violent crimes to justice and ensure the safety of the community.
