Pregnant Teen and Boyfriend Found Dead in San Antonio: Investigation Underway

The city of San Antonio, Texas, has been left in shock after the tragic discovery of the bodies of 18-year-old Savanah Nicole Soto and her boyfriend, Matthew Guerra, in a car. Soto, who was nine months pregnant and overdue, was reported missing by her family on Friday, after she failed to show up for a scheduled induction to deliver her baby.

The San Antonio Police Department has confirmed that the cause of death for Guerra, aged 22, was a gunshot wound to the head. He was one of three victims found dead inside the vehicle, which is now being investigated as a triple homicide case. The female victim, believed to be Soto, is still awaiting positive identification from the medical examiner.

During a press conference, SAPD Chief William McManus described the crime scene as “complex” and “perplexing.” The bodies were discovered in a Kia Optima, which had been connected to Soto’s disappearance. It is believed that the victims may have been in the car for three to four days before being found.

It has been revealed that Guerra had a history of violence towards Soto, as he was on probation for assaulting her on Christmas day in 2022. His probation had been extended due to additional charges, including unlawful carry of a weapon, reckless driving, and evading arrest. However, police have not yet determined if Guerra was involved in Soto and her unborn baby’s death, and no suspects have been named.

The community is mourning the loss of Soto and Guerra, and the investigation into this devastating crime continues. San Antonio residents are anxiously awaiting more information as authorities work to bring justice to the victims and their families.
