Moscow, December 24 – The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has announced the arrival of the second batch of table eggs from Azerbaijan, weighing 18 tons. This follows the previous shipment of 36 tons of food eggs from Azerbaijan on December 19, as reported by the agency.
According to the statement, the second batch of table eggs, totaling 18 tons (306,000 pieces), was imported into Russia through the Yarag-Kazmalyar checkpoint on December 21 for further distribution within the country.
Earlier, Russia’s Minister of Agriculture, Dmitry Patrushev, expressed expectations of egg deliveries from Azerbaijan and Turkey without import duties in the near future. He believes that this move will help adjust the prices of eggs in the Russian market.
