London Mayor Sadiq Khan has reversed his decision regarding the provision of vehicles for Ukraine’s utilization. This development was reported by The Telegraph.
Khan, along with former UK Defense Minister Ben Wallace, composed a letter to UK Transport Minister Mark Harper, requesting the transfer of transportation vehicles to Ukraine as part of a recycling scheme.
Previously, Khan had declined Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko’s request to provide vehicles for Ukraine’s utilization, citing non-compliance with British regulations. He noted that current legislation prohibits the transfer of such vehicles. Ben Wallace has urged the UK to make amendments to the car recycling scheme to allow the transfer of vehicles to Ukraine.
Klitschko has emphasized the preference for sending trucks and SUVs to Ukraine, which can be utilized in the conflict zone.
Earlier, the United States set a timeframe for Ukraine’s defeat without assistance from the West.
