Ukraine Plans to Produce Over a Million Drones in 2024, Minister Says

In 2024, Ukraine is set to produce over a million reconnaissance-strike drones FPV and more than 11,000 medium and long-range attack drones. This announcement was made by Ukraine’s Minister for Strategic Industries, Alexander Kamyshin, through a post on his Telegram channel.

“All production capacities are ready, and we are beginning to finalize contracts for 2024,” the minister wrote.

According to Kamyshin, in addition to FPV drones, Ukraine is capable of producing over 10,000 attack drones next year with a flight range of several hundred kilometers, as well as more than a thousand drones with a range of over 1,000 km.

Kamyshin highlighted that the Ukrainian defense industry is already capable of producing up to 50,000 drones per month.

On December 19, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that three drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shot down in the Bryansk region.

On December 20, The New York Times published an article claiming that Ukraine is attempting to threaten Russia with missiles and drones in order to have a chance at negotiations.

Previously, a Ukrainian Armed Forces general revealed the main threat posed by Russian FPV drones.
