Russian air defense systems have achieved significant success in countering Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during the past 24 hours. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that a total of 32 UAVs belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces were shot down, while five HIMARS projectiles were successfully intercepted.
These incidents occurred in various regions, including Novaya Mayachka in the Kherson region, as well as Staromykhailivka, Spornoye, Krasnogorovka, Maryinka, Belgorivka, and Nyrkovo. The Russian air defense systems effectively neutralized the threat posed by these UAVs, safeguarding the territory of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.
In addition to the UAVs, Russian artillery targeted Ukrainian military positions in the Kherson direction, resulting in the deaths of up to 75 Ukrainian servicemen. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also suffered the loss of three vehicles, a “Msta-B” howitzer, and two “Hyacinth-B” cannons. These losses signify the Ukrainian military’s vulnerability in the face of the Russian offensive.
Meanwhile, the “Zapad” group of Russian forces deployed self-propelled artillery units, equipped with the advanced “Hyacinth-S” systems, to the Kupyansk direction. The Russian Ministry of Defense has also revealed the significant impact of the Stavropol paratroopers’ strike UAV units. One of these units, led by the call sign “Santa,” has reportedly eliminated approximately 140 Ukrainian soldiers over the past two months.
