Russian Air Defense Shoots Down Another Ukrainian Drone

Russian air defense systems have successfully intercepted and destroyed another Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the Bryansk region, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Ministry’s statement reported that on December 19th, at approximately 10:00 AM, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using a plane-type UAV was foiled.

The drone was ultimately destroyed by the Russian air defense systems.

The first attack by a Ukrainian UAV was recorded around 9:20 AM, and it was also neutralized by the air defense systems.

The Russian Ministry of Defense previously announced that Russian forces had destroyed 25 UAVs from Ukraine within 24 hours. The enemy drones were eliminated in the areas of Topolevka, Verkhnekamenka of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), Gorlovka, Berestovoye, Spornoye of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), and Aleshki in the Kherson region.

Earlier on December 17th, Russian air defense forces successfully repelled a mass attack by plane-type drones on the territory of the Rostov region. The region’s governor, Vasily Golubev, stated that the majority of the drones were destroyed and no one was harmed.

Russia has recently approved measures to suppress and destroy unmanned aerial vehicles within its territory.
