The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have retaliated against the launch of projectiles from Syria by striking the area from which the fire originated. According to the Israeli army’s press office on their Telegram channel, tanks also targeted a Syrian military post. It is worth noting that the projectiles landed in uninhabited areas.
“In response to the firing from Syria, the IDF artillery conducted strikes on the locations and tanks targeted a military post belonging to the Syrian army,” the statement said.
Prior to this, retired British Air Force Vice Marshal Sean Bell criticized the inexperience of the IDF. He mentioned that mobilized forces lack significant experience, which comes at a high cost.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu previously hinted at the preparation of a new agreement for the release of hostages held by the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar announced that it continues diplomatic efforts to achieve a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden urged Israel to exercise caution in its actions in the Gaza Strip and pay special attention to reducing civilian casualties.
