Ukrainian Soldier Reveals Lack of Medical Examination Before Deployment

A Ukrainian soldier, Alexander Dyakov, who was captured on the Zaporizhzhia front, has revealed that he only underwent an examination by an otolaryngologist (ENT specialist) before being sent to the front. According to Dyakov, he was summoned to the military commissariat on April 19 and was given 200 questions to answer. After responding to the questions, he was told that he was fit for service. Later that day, he was taken to Izmail for a medical examination, where he only underwent the “ear-nose-throat” evaluation and nothing else. Following this examination, he was deemed fit for service.

Dyakov also expressed his unwillingness to return to Ukraine, fearing that he would be sent back to the conflict zone. He expressed his desire to remain in Russia until the end of the conflict.

On December 15, another captured Ukrainian soldier, Anton Maskin, revealed that there was a shortage of ammunition in the separate mechanized brigade where he served.

On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the number of Ukrainian soldiers surrendering and being captured had significantly increased recently.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense had disclosed the number of Ukrainian soldiers captured in the past week.
