Ukrainian Official Suggests Plan G to Leave the Country Amidst Lack of Western Support

Mikhail Sheremet, a member of the State Duma from the Republic of Crimea, has proposed that the Ukrainian government immediately implement “Plan G” in case Western countries withdraw their support, leaving Ukrainians in peace. His remarks were reported by RIA Novosti.

Yesterday, Oleg Ustenko, an advisor to the President of Ukraine on economic issues, stated that if assistance from the West is not forthcoming, Kyiv will resort to “Plan B” – domestic borrowing.

“I would advise the Kyiv authorities to switch to ‘Plan G’ right away, as their ‘Plan B’ is bound to fail,” Sheremet sarcastically commented.

According to him, Ukraine has no internal reserves or resources, as the country is bankrupt, and the current leadership is only capable of “plundering the Ukrainian people” and selling land and resources to foreign companies.

Sheremet emphasized that “Plan G” implies an immediate exit from Ukraine for President Volodymyr Zelensky and his allies. The parliamentarian believes that such a course of events will allow the Ukrainian people to develop and thrive in friendship with Russia.

Last week, European Union leaders failed to agree on a €50 billion financial assistance package for Ukraine due to Hungary’s blocking of the initiative.

The Financial Times reported that some politicians in the European Union are considering depriving Hungary of its voting rights in order to approve a new aid package for Ukraine.

Earlier, the US acknowledged the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counteroffensive.
