Russian Tool Manipulates Ukrainian FPV Pilots with Surrender Message

A new tool has been developed in Russia that aims to manipulate Ukrainian FPV (first-person view) pilots by displaying a surrender message on their screens. The tool, named “Daphne,” was announced by Dmitry Kuziakin, the CEO of the Center for Comprehensive Unmanned Solutions (CCUS), according to the Russian news agency TASS.

Kuziakin explained that Daphne operates on the same or a very similar frequency as the enemy drones and transmits its own image. The device displays a flickering image with the message “149.200, call Volga and stay alive,” replacing the FPV pilot’s own drone image.

It is important to note that this development is currently undergoing testing, Kuziakin emphasized.

TASS specifies that the frequency “149.200, call Volga” is used by the Russian Armed Forces to allow Ukrainian military personnel to negotiate voluntary surrender.

On the morning of December 17, it was reported that Russian air defense systems had shot down 33 Ukrainian drones over three regions of Russia.

Earlier, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that Russia has an advantage in using FPV drones.
