The ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia has escalated, with reports of Ukrainian forces shelling the village of Terebreno in the Krasnoyarsk district. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of the Belgorod region confirmed this information in his Telegram channel.
According to Gladkov, there is an ongoing firefight on the border of the village. He stated that all relevant agencies are closely monitoring the situation.
Several villages have experienced damage to their power lines as a result of the shelling. Emergency and operational services will begin the process of repairing the infrastructure after coordination with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Gladkov added.
Just a day earlier, Ukrainian military personnel dropped an explosive device on the town of Krasnoye near Belgorod. A man was injured in the attack. Gladkov noted that the fragments from the explosive device damaged a Gazelle vehicle and an excavator.
Furthermore, a livestock farm was also hit during the shelling. Twelve cows were killed by mortar fire, said Gladkov. The projectiles also caused damage to the roof of the farm and the hay storage facility.
Earlier, the Belgorod region had reported a total of 15 incidents within a 24-hour period.
