French Diplomat Killed in Israeli Strike on Gaza Home

In a recent Israeli strike on a house in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip, a French Foreign Ministry employee was killed. This tragic incident has been reported on the ministry’s website.

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Elia Toledano, who succumbed to his injuries. The diplomat had taken shelter in the house of his colleagues from the French consulate. The strike on the house resulted in the death of approximately ten people.

Prior to this, Vatican News had reported that Israeli forces had targeted a church of the Latin rite located in the Gaza Strip.

On December 16th, the Israeli military’s press service announced that their soldiers had conducted raids on several schools in the Gaza Strip. The targeted educational institutions were Al-Farabi and Al-Mutasim Billah, situated in the Rimel area.

On the same day, during a meeting, Russia’s Special Representative for the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, along with the ambassadors of Egypt, Nazih Nagari, and Jordan, Khaled Shawabkeh, emphasized the need to continue consolidating efforts to cease the hostilities in Gaza.

Earlier, Russians who had left the Gaza Strip shared their experiences of living in the war zone.
